How to choose your wedding entrance music

Today, I would like to talk about  a subject that you hear very little about, and that is which music to use for your wedding.  As you know music sets the tone for any event. So today we have a guest blogger, who is a pianist and he is going to fill us in on this subject .

Guest Post by Martyn Croston

It can be a difficult task in choosing what music the bride should enter to. The right piece of music can evoke a special mood and act as the perfect beginning to a ceremony. Here are some useful tips in picking the right music for your special day.

One of the first things to consider is that the entrance of the bride doesn’t usually last a long time, so if you pick a 3 minute song, you may only hear the first minute or so. Therefore, if you do have a piece of music you would really like to hear the full length of, then it is advisable to use it for the signing of the register.

In terms of the various styles of music to choose from, there really are many options. You could pick something that is special to you, whether it is a piece of classical music like Pachelbel’s Canon, or a pop song that could signify the first time you and your partner met. However, you could simply pick some music that you feel is suitable for the occasion, or ask friends or family members for their advice.

Wedding Planning on a Budget

Wedding planning on a budget is not that difficult, so long as you learn how to stick to your calculations and not spending too much. There are many options and decisions to be made, and money can slip from your hand quickly while planning for a large occasion like a wedding. However, it is possible to actually save money, and spend less than your projected budget…I am living proof of that. Below, I will teach you a few of the strategies I learned for planning my own wedding without doing too much damage to my bank account.

It’s Never to Early to Begin Planning

Even if you have just got engaged, and the wedding will probably be at least a year away, why not start planning for it now? Procrastination only leads to be rushed in the end, which can lead to hasty, expensive decision making. Plus, you are more likely to have to pay extra if you didn’t order something early enough to get it done or shipped in the standard amount of time.

Wedding Planning On A Budget

grad school
Today we have 4 valuable tips on wedding planning on a budget from our guest post writer Sara Palyn Johnson. Make sure to take notes.

Some great man had once said “5 star weddings don’t always guarantee a happy marriage”! Young brides to be – their heads filled with silly romantic ideas gleaned from romantic movies and novels – would do well to understand this really simple point! A budget wedding planning, especially in the times of recession, isn’t such a bad thing at all.

Just reason with yourself. Instead of squandering away all your hard earned money and that of your dad’s as well on a wedding reception that will last for only 4 hours and then become entombed within a photo album for the rest of your life, won’t it make more sense if you invest that money into future savings? After all, we are living in a troubled economy at present.

Let me now impart a few solid tips on event wedding planning on a budget or limited budget plan wedding.

Wedding Planning on a Budget tip # 1

Instead of hiring a stretch limo or a Cadillac or some other kind of luxury car, use your own car or borrow your friend or relative’s luxury car. This will save a lot of money.

278/365 - Hey Guys Hey Guys Hey Guys
    How’s every one doing today!

Wedding planning can be such a drag sometimes. But it doesn’t have to be that way.  I’s all about being prepared and having the best wedding planning tips.

There’s one particular question that many soon to be brides will ask, and that’s “where do I start“. This is a very good question and a very important one. Just trying to think of where to start from can drive you bonkers. It can make you want to just forget about it and elope to Vegas baby!

There are so many places to start from and unfortunately many couples choose the wrong direction.

Some start by looking for the ideal location to hold their reception, visiting up 10 locations before deciding on the one location only to find out they can’t afford it.

Others start by looking for their dream honeymoon destination . . . Venice, Paris, Aruba, Montego Bay, you name it. They spend days until they find the perfect resort in a beautiful, exotic island and again only to find out they can’t afford it.

Bridal Gown – After the Event

    Guest Post by Elsie Gilbert

White wedding dresses and veils, on display, original designs, downtown Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

So many brides spend literally thousands of dollars on perfect wedding gowns, that it can seem a real shame just to discard their precious wedding gowns, after the day is done. But, let’s face it, when else would you actually have the opportunity to wear a wedding dress? So, unfortunately, most wedding gowns simply end up in storage; there must be a better way.

    Wedding Gowns Through the Generations

Fashion does come and go, and wedding gowns are no exceptions. You may find that within a couple of decades old wedding gowns come back into fashion and are often of considerable sentimental value. So store your gown wisely and you may get to see your daughter or grand-daughter enjoying the same dress, in years to come.

If you have opted for one of the simple wedding gowns that are classical and dateless, the chances of your gown being worn by future generations, is even greater. Don’t be embarrassed to mention your stored wedding gown to the younger members of your family; they may be delighted to save some money and to carry on a family tradition.
