Trinket Boxes: This is something that a woman can never have enough of. It is a beautiful blend of beauty and utility. You can decorate it with ribbons and sparkles and turn it in to a wonderful show-piece. If you know how to make bead necklaces, then you can make one for the bride and put it in the box. You can even add beads that spell her name.

Mug: A simple mug can change into a wonderful gift if you can have the photo of the receiver printed on it along with a message. These prints usually last a long time and can be used on a daily basis.

Bouquet: A bouquet is something that fits a formal occasion. Besides, they are expensive and they are sometimes considered as needless expenses as flowers do not last long. What if you could make a bouquet that would last a long time? All you need to do is buy some dried flower and make a bouquet out of them. They not only last a long time but are also pocket-friendly.

Today, I would like to talk about a subject that you hear very little about, and that is which music to use for your wedding. As you know music sets the tone for any event. So today we have a guest blogger, who is a pianist and he is going to fill us in on this subject .

It can be a difficult task in choosing what music the bride should enter to. The right piece of music can evoke a special mood and act as the perfect beginning to a ceremony. Here are some useful tips in picking the right music for your special day.

One of the first things to consider is that the entrance of the bride doesn’t usually last a long time, so if you pick a 3 minute song, you may only hear the first minute or so. Therefore, if you do have a piece of music you would really like to hear the full length of, then it is advisable to use it for the signing of the register.

In terms of the various styles of music to choose from, there really are many options. You could pick something that is special to you, whether it is a piece of classical music like Pachelbel’s Canon, or a pop song that could signify the first time you and your partner met. However, you could simply pick some music that you feel is suitable for the occasion, or ask friends or family members for their advice.

Another important point to think about is what instrument(s) you would like to hear your music performed on. Your favorite jazz standard might sound a bit odd with a string quartet, or a heavy rock classic might struggle to work on the piano. This happens more often than you may think and although most people will probably not notice the unusual choice of instrumentation for a certain song, it is advisable to seek the advice of the musician(s) you decide to employ for the ceremony, to make sure everything is as perfect as it should be.

String quartets are sometimes used for the wedding ceremony, often playing mainly classical repertoire with the occasional pop song. However, a cheaper and more flexible option could be to hire a pianist for your wedding entrance music. A pianist will usually have a wider repertoire than a string quartet and you will find most styles of music can easily work on the piano. Another advantage of a pianist is that he or she can be used for the reception as well as the ceremony, and depending upon their level, they should be able to play many different styles of music, to cater for all tastes.

In the past wedding albums tended to look much the same. A series of formal photographs would be mounted in a leather-bound wedding album, each page separated by an opaque interleave to help protect the photographs. Your parents probably had one for their wedding and their parents before them. They were the sort of wedding album that was kept under lock and key, hidden on the bookshelves, only to be brought on special occasions.

But today’s modern couples want something more accessible and contemporary and many are choosing to create their wedding album themselves, that says so much more about them as a couple and how they chose to celebrate their love for each other. And now that most wedding photographers shoot in digital format, creating a personalized wedding album couldn’t be easier.

Firstly, when you commission a photographer to take your wedding photographs, make sure that they are prepared to give you copyright approval to use the photographs as you wish. You might find it useful to get this in writing at the time you book your photographer and sign any contract.

Most wedding photographers now offer a number of different services, or packages, and many start with a basic service of attending the wedding and creating a high resolution disk of your wedding photographs. This is probably all you need to start creating your personalized wedding album.

You can then order prints from them, or from a high street retailer, of your favorite photographs and simply attach them into a personalized wedding album of your choice, interspersed with other wedding memorabilia you have collated – such as a pressed flower from your bouquet or button hole, a copy of your wedding invitation and a place setting, perhaps even a poem or reading you have prepared for the wedding.

Or you could create an album with one of the many online publishing companies, such as Photobox or Lulu. Simply download the software and you’ll find that most of these publishers offer an auto-fill option – so you don’t even have to worry about which photograph to put where!

But if you want to create a personalized wedding album, to be enjoyed for generations to come, why not tell the story of your wedding in words as well as pictures? Just imagine how much your children and grandchildren will enjoy reading about how you both met, how you proposed, why you chose your dress, all the emotions and joy you felt on your wedding day? It would mean so much more to them, and engage their interest far than a traditional wedding album.

So much effort goes into planning your special day, yet it’s surprising how quickly those memories fade. A written story, to accompany your photographs, is a great way to ensure that those memories never fade.

To get the most from your fitness plan you’ll need to combine 5 elements:

1. Supportive Nutrition

Eating the right foods to support your weight loss and toning efforts. You don’t have to make a science out of it. Just eat 5 or 6 quality meals with lean proteins, fruits, vegetables and healthy grains here and there and you’ll quickly look your best for your Wedding.

2. Resistance Training

Any form of exercise that adds an external load on your muscles. That load can be your body in the form of squats, push-ups, sit-ups, or it can be dumbbells. 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes is plenty to tighten and tone your muscles so you can slip in your dress and look great.

Why is social support so effective – one word, accountability. In one study participants in a fitness program were 22 times more likely to stick with it when held accountable through weekly contact.

When negative stress and pressure drag you down, you can reach out to your support group members for encouragement. If you’re not getting social support for your Wedding fitness endeavors from your family, you can enlist the support from outside influences such as friends, like minded groups or a coach. One of my good friends a Newport Beach Personal Trainer has had great success with fitness models and more using these techniques.

The best piece of advice is – start now on your Wedding fitness plan, and keep going. It may take you 10, 20 or even 30 weeks, depending on where you’re at right now.

Aim for 1-2 pounds of “fat loss” per week. Now mind you this isn’t “weight loss”. Anyone can lose several pounds a week of “weight” (mainly water and muscle tissue). That’s not what you’re after. That will just cause you to look like a skinnier fat version of yourself.

Losing fat will help reveal your shapely figure so you can look lean, toned and sexy in your wedding dress.

So if you want to lose 20 pounds, then aim for at least 10-12 weeks to allow for some breathing space in your plan.

Remember, this is a once in a lifetime event – your Wedding. Just ask yourself, “how do you want to look on your wedding day”. Answer that question and then take the necessary action.

There is an increasing trend among a lot of couple who want to have a green wedding. People are looking forward to coordinate an Eco friendly wedding. What will it consist of?

A green wedding will majorly consist of every material that is sustainable and is also eco friendly. The materials that it will consist of will include renewable fibers, recycled material and sustainable material.

Ideas

When someone comes to the wedding, it is a tradition to offer a thank you gift that is a token of remembrance. Hundreds of guests are invited to the wedding and thus hundreds of gifts are given. Here the idea is to give gifts that are green and eco friendly.

Also minimize on the amount of packaging and gift wrapping. Most of the paper and the plastic that is used for this purpose is not eco friendly. Some of the specific ideas are as follows:

1. Flowers and herbs

Herbs like lavender and marjoram have been associated to weddings and flowers like roses and elderflower have had a very long association with marriages.

So in order to replace buying all of these flowers from the market, the idea is to give the organic seed of these flowers and herbs to the farmers so that they can grow them in the local nursery in an organic manner.

The color of the decoration should be in tune with the theme color.

2. Wine

Wine is almost like an essential part of any wedding. There are a number of wineries all over the world. The wine that you order for your wedding should be organic. Organic wine has a very good flavor and the method that is used while growing this is sustainable and eco friendly.

3. Local community

In every area, there are people who have local communities that manufacture food items, especially sweets in groups on a small scale.

Order can be given to one such group and the option to customize will give you the liberty to choose the ingredients. In this manner you can ensure that it is made up of green products.

For example, there are a lot of chocolate companies that make chocolate that is organically grown. They can be contacted for the same purpose.

4. Jute bags

Another idea is to use jute bags. They are eco friendly and they can also be quite easily customized and designed for the occasion.

These bags could carry the gifts.

5. Invite cards

The invitation cards that are given pre wedding are generally made up of paper. In order to have a green wedding, you should choose the recyclable paper.

6. Dress

The wedding dress should be made up of fabrics that are organic in nature. Synthetics should be avoided in order to have an Eco friendly wedding.

I know that second hand gown is something that most of us will not be ready to wear so that above alternative should work for us.

Some of the quick tips for an eco friendly wedding re as follows:

1. Donate the leftover food, don’t let it go waste.

2. Invite selective set of people

3. Email all the invites

4. Use organic food, whether it is to be served or raw or cooked.

An organic wedding that is sustainable is not a difficult job. This will involve thinking about every detail that is related to the wedding in a green manner. The entire approach that will be used here is eco friendly. This will give you a sense of joy and satisfaction because you will feel that you have not harmed the nature. In fact, this will motivate people around you to undertake similar measures.

Want to get in shape for your Wedding?

For those soon to be brides out there, who want to look and feel good on that special day… and want that beautiful dress to look even better on them, here are some tips:

FOCUS
First, think of what do you really want to focus on. Do you want to focus on the parts that will be showing (arms, back & shoulders) or do you want an overall body shaping? Do you want to be more flexible, or perhaps loose some weight?

Second, how much time do you have to accomplish your goal? Are you getting married in 6 weeks or do you have a whole year to work on your goal?

Third, are you going to hire a hiring a personal trainer or going solo on this?

Once you’ve answered these questions, take action right away!

PERSONAL TRAINER

If you’ve decided to hire a personal trainer, start by doing some research online or ask people around you who know of a good trainer. It would be ideal, if you know a friend who’s actually hired a trainer for their wedding and can give you their own testimonial. Make sure this trainer is experienced and knows and understands your goals. Prices might range from $50 to $125/ per session or the trainers might already have set packages for brides. Sessions can run from 45 minute to 90 minutes. Most of the trainers will come to your house, so you don’t even have to drive anywhere, and they might, in some cases, be able to work out some kind of financial deal with you. (It doesn’t hurt to ask)

GOING SOLO

Even though hiring a trainer might be your best bet and your time and money better invested, you might want to consider working out on your own if you are tight on money.

If you have already a gym membership take a supervised group class, for example aerobics or even a spinning class. There are also a lot of good fitness DVD’s that you can get from Blockbuster, Netflicks or even your local library(they’re free there).

Another suggestion for you might be to hire a personal trainer partially, which means you can pay for 1-3 sessions or as many sessions as you can afford. Ask them to make a work out plan for you, which you can follow on your own.

Most important is to give yourself a realistic time frame to achieve your goal. Some women can get in shape faster than others, but as a general rule, 3 to 6 months is plenty of time to work on your body for that special day.
