How, you ask? If you want to look your absolute best on that precious day – start with your wedding fitness plan right now.

To get the most from your fitness plan you’ll need to combine 5 elements:

1. Supportive Nutrition

2. Resistance Training

3. Cardio Training

4. Mental Training

5. Social Support

1. Supportive Nutrition

Eating the right foods to support your weight loss and toning efforts. You don’t have to make a science out of it. Just eat 5 or 6 quality meals with lean proteins, fruits, vegetables and healthy grains here and there and you’ll quickly look your best for your Wedding.

2. Resistance Training

Any form of exercise that adds an external load on your muscles. That load can be your body in the form of squats, push-ups, sit-ups, or it can be dumbbells. 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes is plenty to tighten and tone your muscles so you can slip in your dress and look great.

3. Cardio Training

Any moderate activity that raises your heart rate for 20-30 minutes. Swimming, jogging, sports, hiking, or any other activity you enjoy. This will help condition your heart and burn extra calories helping to trim off body fat for you wedding.

4. Mental Training

A significant portion of wedding fitness is purely “mental”. Keeping yourself motivated to stay on track and continue to make progress no matter how discouraged you may get. Staying on track and making continual progress toward your goal, knowing that as long as you keep making progress you will reach your goal and look fabulous on your wedding day.

5. Social Support

Whether it’s from friends, family, a coach, church or your neighborhood women’s group, research shows that programs which include social support always have better outcomes than those without.

Why is social support so effective – one word, accountability. In one study participants in a fitness program were 22 times more likely to stick with it when held accountable through weekly contact.

When negative stress and pressure drag you down, you can reach out to your support group members for encouragement. If you’re not getting social support for your Wedding fitness endeavors from your family, you can enlist the support from outside influences such as friends, like minded groups or a coach. One of my good friends a Newport Beach Personal Trainer has had great success with fitness models and more using these techniques.

The best piece of advice is – start now on your Wedding fitness plan, and keep going. It may take you 10, 20 or even 30 weeks, depending on where you’re at right now.

Aim for 1-2 pounds of “fat loss” per week. Now mind you this isn’t “weight loss”. Anyone can lose several pounds a week of “weight” (mainly water and muscle tissue). That’s not what you’re after. That will just cause you to look like a skinnier fat version of yourself.

Losing fat will help reveal your shapely figure so you can look lean, toned and sexy in your wedding dress.

So if you want to lose 20 pounds, then aim for at least 10-12 weeks to allow for some breathing space in your plan.

Remember, this is a once in a lifetime event – your Wedding. Just ask yourself, “how do you want to look on your wedding day”. Answer that question and then take the necessary action.

There is an increasing trend among a lot of couple who want to have a green wedding. People are looking forward to coordinate an Eco friendly wedding. Such a wedding can be elegant and modern at the same time if it is well organized. This is like an opportunity where in you can give back something to the nature and to the Mother Earth.
What will it consist of?

A green wedding will majorly consist of every material that is sustainable and is also eco friendly. The materials that it will consist of will include renewable fibers, recycled material and sustainable material.

Ideas

When someone comes to the wedding, it is a tradition to offer a thank you gift that is a token of remembrance. Hundreds of guests are invited to the wedding and thus hundreds of gifts are given. Here the idea is to give gifts that are green and eco friendly.

Also minimize on the amount of packaging and gift wrapping. Most of the paper and the plastic that is used for this purpose is not eco friendly. Some of the specific ideas are as follows:

1. Flowers and herbs

Herbs like lavender and marjoram have been associated to weddings and flowers like roses and elderflower have had a very long association with marriages.

So in order to replace buying all of these flowers from the market, the idea is to give the organic seed of these flowers and herbs to the farmers so that they can grow them in the local nursery in an organic manner.

If you want some personal touch in this, then the idea is to use ink stamp pots. Dress and design these flower pots with the help of ribbons.

The color of the decoration should be in tune with the theme color.

2. Wine

Wine is almost like an essential part of any wedding. There are a number of wineries all over the world. The wine that you order for your wedding should be organic. Organic wine has a very good flavor and the method that is used while growing this is sustainable and eco friendly.

3. Local community

In every area, there are people who have local communities that manufacture food items, especially sweets in groups on a small scale.

Order can be given to one such group and the option to customize will give you the liberty to choose the ingredients. In this manner you can ensure that it is made up of green products.

For example, there are a lot of chocolate companies that make chocolate that is organically grown. They can be contacted for the same purpose.

4. Jute bags

Another idea is to use jute bags. They are eco friendly and they can also be quite easily customized and designed for the occasion.

These bags could carry the gifts.

5. Invite cards

The invitation cards that are given pre wedding are generally made up of paper. In order to have a green wedding, you should choose the recyclable paper.

6. Dress

The wedding dress should be made up of fabrics that are organic in nature. Synthetics should be avoided in order to have an Eco friendly wedding.

I know that second hand gown is something that most of us will not be ready to wear so that above alternative should work for us.

Some of the quick tips for an eco friendly wedding re as follows:

1. Donate the leftover food, don’t let it go waste.

2. Invite selective set of people

3. Email all the invites

4. Use organic food, whether it is to be served or raw or cooked.

An organic wedding that is sustainable is not a difficult job. This will involve thinking about every detail that is related to the wedding in a green manner. The entire approach that will be used here is eco friendly. This will give you a sense of joy and satisfaction because you will feel that you have not harmed the nature. In fact, this will motivate people around you to undertake similar measures.

Want to get in shape for your Wedding?

For those soon to be brides out there, who want to look and feel good on that special day… and want that beautiful dress to look even better on them, here are some tips:

FOCUS
First, think of what do you really want to focus on. Do you want to focus on the parts that will be showing (arms, back & shoulders) or do you want an overall body shaping? Do you want to be more flexible, or perhaps loose some weight?

Second, how much time do you have to accomplish your goal? Are you getting married in 6 weeks or do you have a whole year to work on your goal?

Third, are you going to hire a hiring a personal trainer or going solo on this?

Once you’ve answered these questions, take action right away!

PERSONAL TRAINER

If you’ve decided to hire a personal trainer, start by doing some research online or ask people around you who know of a good trainer. It would be ideal, if you know a friend who’s actually hired a trainer for their wedding and can give you their own testimonial. Make sure this trainer is experienced and knows and understands your goals. Prices might range from $50 to $125/ per session or the trainers might already have set packages for brides. Sessions can run from 45 minute to 90 minutes. Most of the trainers will come to your house, so you don’t even have to drive anywhere, and they might, in some cases, be able to work out some kind of financial deal with you. (It doesn’t hurt to ask)

GOING SOLO

Even though hiring a trainer might be your best bet and your time and money better invested, you might want to consider working out on your own if you are tight on money.

If you have already a gym membership take a supervised group class, for example aerobics or even a spinning class. There are also a lot of good fitness DVD’s that you can get from Blockbuster, Netflicks or even your local library(they’re free there).

Another suggestion for you might be to hire a personal trainer partially, which means you can pay for 1-3 sessions or as many sessions as you can afford. Ask them to make a work out plan for you, which you can follow on your own.

Most important is to give yourself a realistic time frame to achieve your goal. Some women can get in shape faster than others, but as a general rule, 3 to 6 months is plenty of time to work on your body for that special day.

Wedding planning on a budget is not that difficult, so long as you learn how to stick to your calculations and not spending too much. There are many options and decisions to be made, and money can slip from your hand quickly while planning for a large occasion like a wedding. However, it is possible to actually save money, and spend less than your projected budget…I am living proof of that. Below, I will teach you a few of the strategies I learned for planning my own wedding without doing too much damage to my bank account.

It’s Never to Early to Begin Planning

Even if you have just got engaged, and the wedding will probably be at least a year away, why not start planning for it now? Procrastination only leads to be rushed in the end, which can lead to hasty, expensive decision making. Plus, you are more likely to have to pay extra if you didn’t order something early enough to get it done or shipped in the standard amount of time.

Plan your Wedding in an Off Season

There are a few times of the year in which wedding ceremonies are very popular, therefore, wedding services are a bit more expensive. The resolution to this is just to have your wedding during a slower period, say in the hottest summer months and coldest winter months. This really depends on your location as to what the slow time is for weddings. Also, keep an eye on sales at wedding boutiques. They will have more clearance when they are low on business.

Rent your Wedding Dress

Yes, I know this isn’t “traditional,” but do you really want to pay a few $100 on a dress you are only going to wear once?? Besides, your future hubby is going to be renting his outfit, why not do the same. You can rent a wedding gown for your big day for a fraction of the cost of buying one. Also, check with your married friends and family to see if anyone is willing to part with their gown, at least for your ceremony. If you insist on purchasing one, you can always go the used route.

Cut Out the Small Things

Wedding planning on a budget may not allocate for every factor of a wedding. Wedding favors, for example, are one of the little cuts you could make if you simply cannot afford everything. No one is going to notice that they didn’t receive something to take home with them. Your guests attend to share your special occasion with you, not to get free stuff.

As you can see, wedding planning on a budget can be done if you stick to the proposed amount of money you plan on spending. No one has to have a big $10,000 engagement for it to be special!

Just reason with yourself. Instead of squandering away all your hard earned money and that of your dad’s as well on a wedding reception that will last for only 4 hours and then become entombed within a photo album for the rest of your life, won’t it make more sense if you invest that money into future savings? After all, we are living in a troubled economy at present.

Let me now impart a few solid tips on event wedding planning on a budget or limited budget plan wedding.

Wedding Planning on a Budget tip # 1

Instead of hiring a stretch limo or a Cadillac or some other kind of luxury car, use your own car or borrow your friend or relative’s luxury car. This will save a lot of money.

Wedding Planning on a Budget tip # 2

Most women tend to go overboard while choosing a wedding reception card. While a wedding invitation ought to be beautiful, elegant and tasteful, it need not necessarily be astronomically priced! You can search in the internet for beautiful budget wedding cards and take print outs, only as many as you want!

Allot 1 card per family. If possible and if you have a creative bent of mind, you can make your cards yourself. No gesture can be more personal than this and these handmade cards would touch everybody’s heart.

Wedding Planning on a Budget tip # 3

Many families order 5 or 6 different types of meat preparations along with fish and prawn and 3/4 types of dessert items in the menu. They have Chinese, continental, Indian, Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisines. This ensures all round praise and heavy duty ostentation, but it also creates a lot of unnecessary wastage of food as no one can dig into so much food in 1 ceremony!

Always go for buffet spreads and serve chicken and pasta instead of more expensive fancy items as they cost negligible amounts. Sit down dinner is expensive. Buffet saves money. Instead of serving exotic wines and champagne and cocktails, you can serve beer or vodka purchased from wholesalers. Hors d’oeuvres, punch and cakes are good options as well, according to the advice of wedding planning consultants.

Budget wedding planning tip # 4

Instead of planning your wedding on a weekend or on Sunday, choose a weekday instead as it will reduce expenditure by $3 to $5 per guest during the dinner reception.

Otherwise, you can minimize expenditure by including home cooked food, but that will invite unnecessary toil. And invite only a few selected guests and screen the guest list several times. It is also a good idea to ditch the DJ and become frugal with flowers.
